Hands down...Corb Lund from Edmonton, Alberta. One of the best alt-/roots-country acts out there and not a lotta folks in the States know a thing about him and his band.

checking out corb now... seems to have quite the press and following up north. Geez, can't think of a single singer/songwriter Canada ever produced worth listening to...

try out canadian david wilcox, altho hes not here some of his stuff is very good

i also dig kim mitchell solo stuff and his max webster stuff.
